80. The Olympics and Hillary Clinton

The Statue of Liberty
Hillary Clinton has publically asked George Bush not to give away, his presence at the opening ceremony of the Olympics, so easily. More or less she echoes what the Californian Congressman, Dana Rohrabacher and the rest of the world says on the matter.

Looking at this woman, whose words always seem to carry weight, I feel disappointed she will probably never make it to the White House because America is infatuated by the “Yes, we can” slogan of Obama. The phenomena has also caught on and has been adopted by the Left Wing Leader here in Italy, which personally I believe is simply a lot of smoke with very little fire.

This belief of mine was reinforced when I saw a conference of the General in charge of the forces in Iraq who claimed, it was not feasible to withdraw the troops at this stage. Both Hillary Clinton and Obama said they would remove the troops, Hillary would remove them in 6 months, and Obama would remove them within sixteen months, which I thought was a much better proposal. However, seeing both these two Democratic Presidential Candidates confronting the mighty weight of the General it seemed that when Hillary spoke, there would be no messing about- when Obama spoke, he reminded me of a school kid asking permission to leave the room.
