75. The Chinese: They've Done it Again!

These Tibetan Hills Hide a Multitude
of Human Rights Abuse

To show how mighty and great they are, the Chinese Officials do what they are best at- strike the weak. They have imprisoned a young Chinese, blood of their own blood, flesh of their own flesh because he was campaigning for what Milan has won the 2015 EXPO- a cleaner, better environment. This rubbed the Chinese up the wrong way because they are Number One (together with the U.S.A.- I no doubt) as the great Offenders of causing world pollution- polluting that same air that you and I breathe... this gives them great pleasure it seems, so much so that anyone who dares mention the fact is put in chains!!! God bless us! Whatever next.

The Chinese Judges defend themselves by saying the “prisoner” as they do not refer to him by name, as if he has ceased to be a human being and referred to as “The Thing”, had admitted to wrong doing. Of course “The Thing” did something wrong because in China things are reversed: what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right.

And to think the Athletes have to blacken their lungs in that filthy air while running the marathon and other such things! There’s something else about the dictatorial attitude of the Chinese I really must mention. The Californian Congressman, Dana Rohrabacher was on TV last night and he said that they, they can’t go down on the historical records like the ones who marched in front of Adolf Hitler in 1936. We have the same sort of monstrous totalitarian regime in Beijing that they had in Berlin in 1936 and it behoves those of us who believe in democracy not just to treat it as if we were having an Olympics in Belgium or someplace like that. It behoves people at least to speak up in some way and say “NO,” we are not going to treat a dictatorship that has done so many crimes and continues to do crimes against their people and other people as if they were just a democratic government. That doesn’t cut it. And whether it be a boycotting of the Olympics totally or at least a statement by boycotting the opening ceremony, that’s fine.

When the interviewer reminded Congressman Rohrabacher that George Bush said boycotting the Olympics is out of the question because you can’t mix sports with politics the Congressman said that it was a joke. We have this Chinese regime that is a monstrous Human Rights abuser- in fact they are the worst Human Rights abusers in the world and are hosting the Olympics. That in itself is a political statement. We have the Olympics supposed to represent the best of human kind being hosted by the worst of human kind.

When asked about a boycott in the past that has not produced a backlash, the Congressman answered that Ronald Regan, who was not President at the time called for a boycott of the Moscow Olympics because of the invasion of Afghanistan; it was that hard stand and what he later did as President that brought a more peaceful world and brought an end to Soviet repression of their own people.
