Instead of trying to find a peaceful solution to what spurs people to demonstrate against China, the Chinese Officials are only capable of showing their indignation and describing these scenes as “vile” and “disgusting”. Yes I agree with them, but it’s not the demonstrators that are “vile” and “disgusting”.
It would have been unkind, it would have been unfeeling, it would have been uncivilized if we had not protested in honour and defence of those who are being beaten up, locked up and killed by those who don’t believe in freedom.
This is not a question of mixing politics with sports- it isn’t a question of politics or commerce- it’s a question of values and a suffering humanity! And the Olympics are all about champions including the Champions of Freedom.
