69. The French President has the Audacity to Represent Europe at the Olympics
For heaven’s sake- someone stop him!
That was the dessert in the lunchtime news today. Since France has the Presidency of Europe during the Olympic period, the President of France said he may go and hence represent Europe at the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Personally I don’t think he appreciates what it means living in a free country.

If the President of France thinks he can go to Peking representing us, Europeans, he had better think again- because first, he has to find one person here in Europe who wants to be represented at the Opening ceremony at the Olympics- there is no one here in Europe who wants to be represented in a place where freedom of speech, of expression, writing blogs for example, freedom of speech in radio, internet, television, journalism does not exist and where no foreign reporter will be allowed to film any of the games but everything of the Olympics will be censured and spoon fed by the Chinese Authority... where those who seek this freedom, that we over here hardly appreciate and take for granted, are ravaged and beaten to death because the Chinese Authority say they are agitators and criminals ... who over here in Europe even wants to see the faces of such “Organizers” let alone be represented in their country...
If all the world was governed in such a way as in China, if all the world did not respect Human Rights as in China, if all the world practised oppression when one expresses himself as in China- what a sad, miserable place this world would be!
