357. Why the Pope Resigned

If you say the Pope resigned because of poor health, you get told the Pope is not ill but frail.

If you say the Pope resigned because he couldn’t stand all the paper work, you are informed the Pope would do that and more for the Church.

 If you say the Pope resigned because he wanted to be a pensioner, you get told his personal wishes were never a priority.

 If you say the Pope resigned because he saw too much corruption around him, then you are told, the Pope only has the best interest of the Church at heart.

Whatever reason you may think was the reason behind the Pope’s resignation is probably wrong because the real reason why the Pope resigned, he and he alone will ever know.
