112. NBC Goofs Up on the Murder of Meredith
There’s a nice little story I’ve just heard on Italian news about the NBCprogramme broadcasted last night on the murder of Meredith, the English student in Perugia. The American People were shown images of Italian Police throwing down the door of an apartment and accused the Italian police of corrupting the evidence because they weren’t wearing the usual clothes protection when doing investigations.
The moral of this my story is that the apartment shown to the American People was not the one Meredith was murdered in as NBC led the public to believe, but the one above, rented out by four other university students.
Now, I ask myself as any normal intelligent person would, why did the NBC make out to millions of American citizens that what they were being shown was the apartment Meredith was murdered in? And as an Italian citizen I ask myself, why did NBC deliberately undermine the Italian Police portraying them as utter idiots? But above all, as a citizen of the world, I ask myself, why did NBC lie to its own people? Because in my books, the American People have a right to know the truth, or is that not so?
