333. An “Easy-Meal” Recipe
As a detour
from the economic crises, Spain, Greece dragging Europe further down, the US
squabbling over the election candidates, countries at starvation level and
others on the brink of war if not already immersed in it, I thought since I cannot enlighten our lives, I would uplift our stomachs.
| Peel and cut apples in small pieces |
It’s the
apple season, and some may even have apples on their own trees, whatever the
case apples are in abundance and apple purée is something nice and easy to make
as an after meal pudding or as an in-between-snack or even for supper or
breakfast… it’s healthy and not high calorie.
| Cook till tender, squash and add sultanas if you wish |
All you
need to do is peel the apples, cut them in small pieces, put in pan, add a
small cup of water, cover with lid. When
they are cooked to the point of being soft (20-30 minutes) press them with a
spoon or other implement so as to form a paste, it doesn't necessarily have to
be smooth. Add raisins or sultans and or sugar, if you wish.
Serve hot
with custard or cold with cream.
