324. The Assumption: Celebration of the Body
| The blessing of the statue before it is carried out in the streets by the men |
While at
this very moment publishing houses all over the world are printing the latest
sex poses of porn and women are selling their sexual attributes to men who know
no better we have, in the heat of an August sun, the Feast of the Assumption of
Our Lady into heaven.
What does
this mean? I do believe the Pope can
explain it better than I so here’s a quote from today’s homily:
“In remarks
ahead of the Angelus, the Holy Father explained that Mary’s assumption, body
and soul, into heaven at the end of the course of her earthly life – though
only dogmatically defined in 1950 by Pope Pius XII – is something that
Christians throughout the world have always believed, confessed and celebrated.
The Pope called on all the faithful to ask Mary be the star that guides us on
our way to meet her Divine Son” From:Vatican Radio

For us this means that our body is on loan
to us where, if we let him, God makes his above and works though every finger,
limb, cell for the good of humanity.
On the other hand, we are quite free, to
let Lucifer make his home there... it’s all up to you- an inheritance from original
sin.
One thing is certain, the soul does not die
and rot... but one day- neither will the body.
