While the fire rages between the two warring groups contending the Mayorship of Milan I would like to cast my eyes forward to that great event which is to take place in 3 years’ time the Expo.
The theme of Milan’s Universal Exposition is Feeding the Planet and Energy for Life. And it is the hard work put in by the Milanese team headed by the contended Mayor, Letizia Moratti that this project has become a reality. Would anyone question that such a theme lacks humanitarian warmth and concern?
Well, the left-wing contending group for the seat of Mayor think differently and have proposed their own signed, sealed and delivered version of what Milan should consider more humanitarian: a big huge Muslim Mosque, permission free projects for all gypsies to set up their shed where and when they wish to and Milan to be crowned as the centre of Gay Pride.
And oh yes, the latest statement coming from the lips of one of their leaders on TV yesterday is that Communism is beautiful and the complete abolition of commerce at the Expo.
