120. Terrorists Wage War Against India: Why?
That is precisely the title that terrorists do not want to see. They do not want to be at war with India. They want India on their side. They want India to be their friend. This is because India is independent, has its own nuclear power, is the world’s largest modern, expanding democracy; but above all because India is next to Pakistan; and as we remember, Pakistan and India were one nation until the Muslim minority in India formed their own country, namely Pakistan.
There is something about India that is causing a belly-ache to that secret army we call terrorism. India, even though not embracing the Western world with open arms, is nevertheless friends with the West and this is one unpardonable factor that the forces of terrorism cannot accept. Terrorism cannot accept to allow India to have links with the West, they cannot allow themselves to share India with the West- India must stay under their control, their domain, without question.
Hence, terrorism adopts the tactics of the Mafia who shoot at the legs of their target as a warning that the next round will be aimed at the heart. But notice the targets terrorism has hit in this attack namely Israel, America and Great Britain. But by hitting Indian areas where these people were to be found, the leaders of terrorism have spun their message loud and clear. Nor is it a coincidence that their attack was on the eve of Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.A. And precisely because of this reason, that terrorism seeks the separation of India from the rest of humanity, the greater must be the support to India from the rest of the world.
The terrorists message to India is - if you have dealings with the West we will attack your buildings, your people, your religion, your traditions, your government, your country, everything- you shall have no other god but us... and we all know who they are. But the problem is, we can’t see them. India may well have nuclear power, but an atom bomb is completely useless against terrorism, because we simply just cannot see the enemy. We do not know what face terrorism has- these particular guerrillas were mere boys just out of their short trousers, as they used to say in days that were.
Notice too how the warfare tactics have changed- in this case they used conventional arms grenades, bullets, nothing extraordinary or spectacular, just things that leave ruins and dead bodies on the ground.
Personally, as I have had some involvement with India and its people, I am convinced that not for one moment will India succumb to the threats of Terrorism since Indian people have paid too great a price for freedom to surrender it to those who want to take it from them by force. The Indian people know this and the rest of the world also, will see this.
