116. Obama is not Black- His Mother was White

Today, the Italian Prime Minister said to the Russian Premier that Obama has all the characteristics to get on with the Russians since he is young, handsome and suntanned.

I have to agree, but Berlusconi is absolutely right, for Obama is not all Black, his mother was white.

Nevertheless, Berlusconi’s ‘accurate’ description of the US President elect for some reason caused a stir which got out of proportion especially among the Italian left wing who let all hell lose against Berlusconi, which made me very pleased.

It was time that the Italian left wing, who being notoriously anti-American until yesterday, came to the defence of the new President of the United States, in spite of the fact that they, once again, displayed their narrow minded attitude and inability to appreciate some homely well meaning humour.
