513. The Reluctant Novice

                                                                  The Reluctant Novice

When I entered the Convent because, more or less - and may I say, it was more rather than less - I was forced to do so; I never thought I would write about it. I thought that the irritations and absurdities I found living in the Convent would never ever again be of any use to me – but they were.

Such moments remained silently in my memory until they forged through with force to inhabit my consciousness.

However, I had no idea what to do about it until I came across a technique of writing I call “Fiction of Reality”, where in effect, I noticed, Imagination Meets the Truth.

I have given an explanation of what “Fiction of Reality” consists on my website here:

It is through this writing technique that after many years I was able to re-create with a clearer vision of life in the Cloister, as it was in the 1960s. But more importantly what the meaning of a “Vocation”, really entails.
