489. Remembering the passing year - 2022

With all the problems, pandemics and tragedies that 2022 has brought us, I would like to highlight a moment that is bright for me. This moment was Friday 9 September 2022 when by pure chance three authors, not at all related to each other were hosted by the municipality of Sarmede for the presentation of their freshly printed novels.

MEETING WITH THE AUTHORS: Exciting and unforgettable evening, last Friday at our Auditorium Theatre, on the occasion of the presentation of the books "The wickedness of a praying mantis" by Iva Ulian and "Il bosco di bitulle" by Alfeo Zanette, two local writers.

The presentation was brilliantly moderated by the historian of Sardinian origins, Isabella Gianelloni, who illustrated to us with profound reflections, public and private pain, themes that unite the two works mentioned above.

Guest of honour, the famous writer, Mauro Corona, who introduced his latest book "Four seasons to live", a work with which he identifies more, telling us anecdotes of his personal life, sharing with us his private emotions, his regrets, his remarkable culture, giving us clever jokes and precious advice deriving from his experiences.

To cheer up the evening, the extraordinary Costante Biz, known as "Il Poiana", who delighted us with the reproduction of some verses of common birds, a particular passion of his.

We thank the crowded audience who participated with fervent enthusiasm, the Mayor of Sarmede for the support of our initiative, the Civil Protection for the assistance provided, our volunteers who supported us.

Nella casa accanto alla chiesa accadono cose strane: una donna muore alcolizzata, un bambino ha le convulsioni, un uomo si spara. In aggiunta, Veronica, la fotografa della chiesa, avverte un odoraccio riempire la chiesa e vede l'immagine del Diavolo apparire sul volto della suora laica Narissa. È quando il parroco muore inaspettatamente che Veronica decide di smascherare il demone che sospetta abbia qualche attaccamento con la suora. Tuttavia, a causa del suo stato di consacrazione, Narissa è "intoccabile" e quindi diffonde indisturbata le sue attività malevole. Tutti i tentativi di neutralizzare la suora vanno a vuoto e Veronica scopre che il potere umano non basta. "Cattiverie di una mantide religiosa" è la vera storia del tentativo di vincere Satana e i demoni che abitavano il Santuario di Vespina che, per salvaguardare la privacy delle persone coinvolte, deve rimanere un luogo di finzione.
