445. Made in Sarmede – Artists’ Collective
From the very beginning, this artist "collective" mounted
in the House of Fantasy art gallery springs from the sincere will to promote art
as a goal, to create the conditions for people to be involved in the creative
processes that give each individual an opportunity to develop their own free
artistic expression.
Culture as a common good represents, in fact, an investment
in generating utility and social integration, personal and collective growth
for the community, as well as opportunities for dynamism, innovation and
cooperation, without distinction of age.
Made in Sarmede has the peculiarity of creating culture,
understood as a common good, and progress, both material and immaterial, in an indispensable
combination built to recover and safeguard the identity and social character of
our community, anchoring and developing deeply in each one of us the need to
cooperate in a process of sharing aimed at the protection and enhancement of
our cultural heritage. Only in this way will we be able to critically analyze
and govern the rapid changes that today's society is subjecting us to.
A sincere and obligatory thanks goes, first to the artists
who this year exhibit their works and for which an important and indispensable contribution
for this initiative has come; to the speakers who will relate on important
topics throughout the time the exhibition is open; to the International
Foundation for the Children Books Illustration - Stepan Zavrel, our
indispensable partner in this cultural initiative, and to all the volunteers
who worked silently and behind the scenes for the accomplishment and success of
this exhibition.
