423 Del Piero goes to play for India- what are the dangers?
In his statement to go to play for India, this sentence from
Alessandro Del Piero: "I'm not going to a "hostile” country,” made
me realize one thing- that Italian businessmen still have not learned from
their huge mistakes in dealing with India and continue to fall in the trap that
the Indian Authorities set out, capturing them in the net of a never ending
outcome- just as is the case of the Italian Nato Marines. I’ve underlined the reasons why in my answer
to that statement...
Alessandro, I wish you the best but do not forget that you go to a
country, which, by accusing two Marines who have sworn allegiance to their
homeland and duty, of "terrorism", have in effect declared WAR
towards Italy, this makes India a truly HOSTILE country towards Italy.
In February 2013, Indian Authorities through a Supreme Court
Act had stripped of his diplomatic immunity Mancini, the Italian Ambassador in
India, who had offered his word as guarantee that Italian Marines would return
after a visit in Italy, blocked airports so he could not leave India which was
a well and truly act of kidnapping- not only was this a violation of the
International Convention of Vienna but by placing the Ambassador in a state of
sequestration under penalty of arrest and imprisonment, had committed a serious
crime punishable by international law. Needless to say this too is a deplorable
act of hostility towards Italy.
Our Italian Marines were FRAMED with a crime that they could not have
committed since the incident with the Enrica Lexie took place at 16.30 and the
one with the St Antony, where the two fishermen were killed, happened at 21.30,
as declared to the media by the owner of
the boat, “It was night...!”
Up to now India’s lawless acts of barbarism have gone unpunished by the
international community. Apart from the
business of bribery which allegedly took place between Italy and Sonia Gandhi’s
government at the time, what all this really boils down to is the hatred held towards
that great political competitor of the BJP Party, Sonia Gandhi herself, and the
Italian Marines are victims of this hatred and prejudice towards Italy because Sonia
Gandhi is originally an Italian. Since then, Indian Authorities and Justice
System have cheated Italians in all possible ways to secure the downfall of
their adversary- If they have deceived three Italian governments, they will deceive
even you, not only because you are famous, and a footballer but most of all
because you are Italian and therefore a unique target.
This is not in the least a case of football, as some may wish you to
think and therefore has nothing to do with the political intrigues involved but
in effect when it comes to hitting Sonia Gandhi, Modi, Swamy, The Supreme
Court, do not stop at anything, not even football, to degenerate and humiliate Italy.
You and I live in neighbouring towns so it is with a certain
familiarity that I am writing to you, I do it with simplicity and truth so that
you may be spared a disastrous adventure in India, since it is inevitable,
given past circumstances and the reaction of Indian Authorities towards Italy.
I hope you will allow me to say, that if I were you, before leaving you need
concrete guarantees that you will not be used as a target and this guarantee
cannot be given while India illegally detains two Italian citizens under the
absurd charges of terrorism. You must demand that first and foremost they solve
the matter of the Italian Marines. If India authorities do not do so and make
only “promises” which as you can see they never keep, then you are not worth to
them what you expected to be worth, but more importantly it’s a clear sign it
will turn out a trap as past experience has shown. Believe me, Italians have relied on the words
of the Indians and that is why there are now still 2 Italian Nato Marines
illegally detained in India.
You must ask for acts, not words, before you even set foot in India-
contracts cannot be trusted since with the Supreme Court, Indian Authorities
can turn any document into waste paper whenever they want- again as past
experience has shown.
Be very careful Alessandro... because what you have written does not ring
authentic, from your own hand but it has the flavour of someone trying to hit
the jackpot with a golden deal, and again, as experience has shown soon turns sour
just as everything else with India has turned out to be. Do not let history repeat
itself with you, bitterly. Do not fall into the trap too. And do not kid
yourself that you can bring home the Italian Marines when you are in India, but
from Italy you have a chance, if they really
want you.
Eva
