410. Why has India framed two Nato Marines (Marò)?

The Italian National TV journalist, Toni Capuozzo in his documentary “TERRA” described exhaustively how it was not possible that the two Nato Marines aboard the Italian ship Enrica Lexie and under arrest by Indian authorities for over two years, could have been responsible for the death of the two fishermen aboard the Indian St Antony fishing boat.

For those who have not seen the program here are the main points:

The ballistic report from which only Indian authorities were allowed to perform at the exclusion of all other authorities, in particular, Italy, have reported that the bullet found in the skull of one of the victims was not from an Italian Nato fire arm but from a Russian source... and we know not only Africa (presumably where the pirates originate) but also India imports ammunition and fire arms from Russia. Therefore this bullet came from the Pirates themselves or the Kochi Police involved in the shooting which took place at round about 21.30 on 15th February 2012 when the Greek Ship reported an attack and not at 16.30 the time in which the shooting incident on the Enrica Lexie took place. Also it was shown that the bullets fired at the St Antony were shot at a horizontal and therefore same level as that of the St Antony and so not compatible from a firearm from the height of the Enrica Lexie. Indian authorities have since allowed the St Antony fishing boat to disintegrate.

We all know the rest of the story, more or less, namely that Kochi Authorities in the State of Kerala ordered the Enrica Lexie to report into port at Kochi to identify some presumed pirates- this took place late on the 15th of February after the St Antony was attacked and the dead bodies of the fishermen were also brought into the port of Kochi. Hence the Kerala Police arrested two of the six NATO Marines on board and have been detained in India ever since.

Why? Yes, why has India set up this clearly unjustified, arrogant, inimical, aggressive and let me also add “messed up” plot against a friendly peace-keeping country like Italy?

Many possible answers have been given- from those that say India is holding the Marò so that the Italians will not say who from Sonia Gandhi’s government party was given bribes during the now renown helicopter deal where there is a court case in full swing going on against such bribes in Italy at the moment. Others say it’s the other way round. The Italians don’t want the Indians to say who not only offered the bribes but in return obtained bribes -this procedure is explained by a Gesuit online magazine here - http://www.popoli.info/EasyNe2/Primo_piano/Finmeccanica_e_il_mercato_corrotto_delle_armi.aspx

There is however another possible answer, explained by the Italian Journalist Pierangelo Maurizio from the newspaper “Libero” and reported here  http://tuttacronaca.wordpress.com/2014/02/28/ecco-chi-vuole-incastrare-i-maro-solo-per-fare-carriera/ that it is in effect one of the chiefs of the opposition party who are keeping the Marò in a form of sequestered situation.

At the end of the day it may be a question of the opposition party fighting the government party to win the elections in May, and vice-versa since both want to win at all costs.

But if it takes the capture and seizure of two innocent NATO Marines and to keep them under sequestered conditions as their winning ticket- and in order to gain the Indian people’s vote to show they are capable of dominating a tiny, inoffensive, minuscule country like Italy, then not only are they making a mockery of their own people by taking them for a ride with such lies, but also showing themselves up as being bullies of the first degree, not to add diabolical, let alone uncivilized.

Sooner or later the truth of the Nato Marine's innocence will be world-wide news, on everyone's mouth... it will be then that also the Indian people will know how their leaders have lied to them and pulled the wool over their eyes to extort a measly vote from them.
