277. Radio Maria on Air

Many people think Catholics go overboard in their devotion to the Virgin Mary, so when our parish priest hosted “Radio Maria” and their crew of volunteers, I promised I would not blog about it so as not to bring upon myself the displeasure, nay, the anger and wrath of those who do not think along my lines.
| On an ordainary Thursday afternoon, not many people are about. But Radio Maria reaches 7 million people |
In my answer to a certain “Chivas” who posted on Matthew Warner’s blog (see link below) that Catholics practise the idol worship of Mary and adhere to manmade rules instead those of God, I said:
How can anyone love Jesus if they don’t love and venerate His Mother? It’s like slapping God in the face who chose her to be His Mother. And how someone can translate that love and veneration into idol worship is just beyond me.

Of course some people would want me to forget about the Mother of God, but that was certainly not at all what Jesus would have wanted as He repeatedly airs what His opinion is on His Mother and our relationship with her- which certainly clashes with those who would like me to think I am blaspheming when I revert to Our Lady’s intercession.
So, I decided to blog about “Radio Maria” who came to do a service in one of our parishes since I am not a criminal nor need to hide my relationship with Mary.

Besides, why should I have to justify myself for interceding with Mary... It’s not a crime, is it?
And frankly, those who go round snubbing Mary are not doing Jesus any real favours, are they?
