While China keeps some of her most noble citizens under lock and key, the rest of the world looks on, scrutinizing the situation, while Oslo with ears and eyes wide open assigns her prestigious Nobel Prize for Peace to a prisoner in a Chinese jail, Liu Xiaobo.
The world and China at odds again on freedom of speech and human rights. Even if all the world, including China agree upon what constitutes the fundamental rights of man, in contrast to the rest of the world China does not practise what she preaches as indeed do one or two other countries who keep women in jail, suffer them to be lashed and even stoned to death usually with some monstrous charge which is only a pretext to hide the real motive of a husband who simply wants to get rid of her, and that is, unfortunately the long and the short of how absurd human nature can become.
Hence, the Nobel Peace Prize has been assigned to a “criminal”, as the Chinese insist on defining this, their noblest of citizens. You are a criminal in China if you so much as to breathe a word of criticism against the present ruling system. You are a criminal in China if you ask to have more than one party to stand for election- what the hell do they have elections for if there is only one party? Do they think the people in China are so stupid they cannot make out that one and zero still makes one and not two? And yet they insist on taking the mikey out of their own people by making them vote where there is nothing to vote, I have therefore had to come to the painful conclusion the authorities there are unable to count beyond one.
You are a criminal in China if you ask that human rights be observed. You are a criminal in China if you say what you think, or even dare to express an opinion that does not parrot the status quo. You are a criminal in China if you believe in a God that has created you, which is not the “god” that imposes shackles and chains upon you if you so much deny to worship the “god” fabricated by the sick mind of a dictator. You are a criminal in China if you defend others who ask for any of the above points that lead to a life of decency, to keep your own child, to speak with freedom, to vote for an alternative, to have basic human rights.... You are a criminal in China... So for such “criminal” actions Oslo assigned the Nobel Peace Prize to this “Criminal” Liu Xiaobo.
The Chinese authorities should place their faces against the wall, and not appear on television with their drivel. They would do well to hide their faces from the rest of the world, and cover them with complete and utter shame.
